Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the opening game of the 2026 Unity Cup as fixtures for the tournament are officially confirmed

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their 2026 Unity Cup campaign against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the opening fixture of the tournament, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 26 May, 2026.

The Super Eagles Unity Cup 2026 Zimbabwe opener will take place at The Valley, the home ground of English club Charlton Athletic, setting the stage for a competitive start to the international friendly competition.

Organisers confirmed that Jamaica’s Reggae Boys will face India in the second semi-final the following day at the same venue.

The third-place playoff and final are also scheduled for The Valley on Saturday, 30 May, 2026, concluding the tournament within a compact schedule.

Nigeria enter the competition as defending champions after winning the previous edition in dramatic fashion.

The Super Eagles defeated Jamaica 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in regulation time, showcasing resilience and composure in a tense final.

The upcoming tournament is expected to provide another key test for the Nigerian side as they continue preparations for future international competitions.
