According to INEC’s weekly report for week 14 of the exercise, the total figure comprises both online pre-registrations and physical completion at designated centres nationwide, reflecting sustained civic participation in the voter registration process.
The Commission stated that 2,259,288 Nigerians completed their registration through the online pre-registration platform, while 1,489,416 citizens finalised their registration in person at various centres across the country.
INEC noted that the figures remain provisional and are subject to further verification as part of its ongoing data validation process to ensure accuracy and integrity of the voter register.
With the conclusion of the registration phase, attention has now shifted to the display of the Register of Voters for Claims and Objections, a key step designed to strengthen transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
The display exercise is scheduled to hold from 20 to 26 April 2026 at designated centres nationwide, allowing registered voters to confirm their details and raise objections where necessary, including cases of duplicate entries or ineligible registrations.
INEC concludes CVR phase two update report comes as the Commission continues its phased voter registration plan, which began on 18 August 2025 and ran its first phase until 10 December 2025, before the second phase commenced on 5 January 2026.
INEC also confirmed that the third phase of the CVR exercise will resume on 4 May 2026 and continue until 17 August 2026, offering additional opportunity for eligible Nigerians yet to register.
A further display exercise is scheduled for 24 to 30 August 2026, following the completion of the next registration phase.
