The 2025 Global Artist Chart ranks him No. 3 overall, behind Taylor Swift and Stray Kids, confirming his dominance in global hip-hop.
Other rappers featured in the 2025 top 20 include Kendrick Lamar (No. 6), Tyler, The Creator (No. 12), and Eminem (No. 15).
The IFPI ranking measures worldwide performance across streaming, downloads, and physical sales, reflecting total global consumption.
Drake’s sustained supremacy is underpinned by several factors. His prolific output ensures a steady stream of projects, features, and collaborations over nearly two decades.
He blends rap and R&B with melodic pop, broadening his audience across demographics. Strategic release timing maintains interest even in years without solo albums.
In early 2026, Drake became the first rapper to surpass 2 billion Spotify streams in a single year and the first artist to have 300 songs exceed 100 million streams on the platform.
His closest peers have fewer than half as many tracks surpassing the 100 million mark, demonstrating his catalogue’s unmatched scale and consistent global demand.
Drake recently teased his ninth studio album, ICEMAN, expected in 2026, following the 2025 collaborative project Some Sexy Songs 4 U and 2023’s solo release For All The Dogs.
