The staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission, NASS, have blocked the main entrance into the National Assembly Complex.
The workers that are in charge of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) warned on Friday they will commence an indefinite strike on Monday.
They accused the management of the National Assembly of pulling out a Memorandum of Understanding to fully implement the revised condition of service and the training and re-training of staff.
They are also asking for the payment of arrears of minimum wage, leave grants and other allowances.
The workers blocked the gate with their Coaster bus and human shield.
They went further to vow that the strike will be total and indefinite.
They have also instructed all their members to stay at home from Tuesday in furtherance of the indefinite strike.
