President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday inaugurated the Tax and Fiscal Policy Reform Committee.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the State House in Abuja.
Last month, President Tinubu approved the committee’s establishment to be chaired by tax expert Taiwo Oyedele.
However, in a statement yesterday, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Dele Alake, announced the establishment of the committee by the president
According to a statement, Alake noted that the committee would be chaired by Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Taiwo Oyedele.
He said the committee, which comprises experts from both the private and public sectors, would address Nigeria’s tax challenges, including multiple taxation, tax law reforms, fiscal policy design and coordination, harmonization of taxes, as well as revenue administration.
