A human rights activist and public affairs commentator, Deji Adeyanju, has described the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) as a betrayal for suspending the proposed nationwide strike.
According to him, the NLC has been compromised.
NLC had planned to declare a nationwide strike on Wednesday.
However, on Tuesday night, the labor unions, NLC and TUC, suspended the nationwide strike.
Reacting, Adeyanju tweeted: “Woke up to see the betrayal by NLC. I knew this was going to happen.
“Once you see people who should be protesting almost sleeping in the Villa, compromise is the next thing.
“They suspended the strike without achieving anything. A hungry man cannot do Aluta. Shame!”
