Red Devils to have Pochettino soon as aggrieved PSG management agrees with Zidane

In the wake of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking, the Red Devils decided to go for a short-term replacement in Ralf Rangnick while they wait for a long term coach.

It was anticipated that the German would introduce attacking, high-pressing football to Old Trafford, but the former Leipzig manager seems to still be adjusting to the new role.

In a game on Monday night, Wolves beat his side 1-0 in a performance that highlighted how far off the club is from competing for a Premier League crown.

However, the appointment of a top manager in the summer could help the club overcome a few of its problems.

Pochettino has long been linked to the United job after Solskjaer left, but the Argentine chose to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the French media, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss likely won’t be at Le Parc des Princes long.

Daniel Riolo, a journalist at RMC Sport, says Zinedine Zidane will take over as PSG manager by June ‘at the latest’.

It has, however, been reported that Pochettino has damaged his relationship with PSG sporting director Leonardo by pressing for his return to the Premier League while the spot at the Old Trafford was vacant, and he does want the manager to see out the remainder of the season.
