LASG approves Heirs Life Assurance for state pension business

Heirs Life Assurance Limited has been approved by the Lagos Government to underwrite state pension business. This was announced by Niyi Onifade, Managing Director and CEO of Heirs Insurance Life at a media conference in Lagos.

Onifade stated that the approval was a result of trust by the state government in the company.

He said the company has a retirement plan for retirees who want a lifetime pension, and that it has a big role to play in this sub-sector, adding that it is ready to do more by bringing simple, affordable products to the market.

The Acting Managing Director, Heirs General Insurance Limited, Dr Adaobi Nwakuche, said: “We are a customer-centric company and we want to make sure our customers are first in the business. We treat them like queens and kings, from the point of doing the business and to the point of claims.”

She said Heirs Life Assurance and Heirs General Insurance have simple and affordable products on the market.

The general insurer, Heirs Insurance Limited (HIL) is obliged to protect people’s property, and the life insurance specialist, Heirs Life Assurance Limited (HLA) will give plans to people for financial safety and life insurance.

Registered with a paid-up shared capital of N 10 billion and 8 billion paid, HIL and HLA started their operations with talented and experienced professionals and solid financial capacity to undertake all lines of the general and life insurance business.

Both companies are supported by leading reinsurers to protect their clients’ insurance portfolios at a second level. Both companies are subsidiaries of Heirs Holdings, a pan-African investment group based in 23 countries around the world.
