The Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party will today hold a valedictory session to mark the end of its four-year tenure, which officially comes to a close on Thursday.

The valedictory session will be the last official meeting of the 21-member body who are to hand over the party leadership affairs to the incoming NWC led by Prof. Iyiochia Ayu.

The Outgoing National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbodinya confirmed this development on Tuesday.

He said, “Arrangements for the valedictory session have reached an advanced stage. It will be held as scheduled tomorrow (Wednesday).”

It was said that the body will be putting finishing touches to its handover notes which will include the state of the party’s finances, legal and other liabilities as well as the general state of the party.

The official handover ceremony is scheduled to take place in Abuja, on Friday.

The outgoing National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, is not expected to be seen at the session because of a subsisting Court order barring him from parading himself as national chairman.
