Following notification from the Federal Ministry of Works regarding the second phase of emergency repairs on the Eko Bridge (Alaka-Apongbon), the Lagos State Government has issued a traffic diversion plan that would run from Saturday, October 23rd to Tuesday, November 9th, 2021.

According to a statement issued by the Commissioner of Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde. Motorists moving from Alaka to Apongbon will be diverted via the Costain Roundabout.

To assist vehicles to navigate the axis during construction, the Commissioner confirmed that traffic guides will be mounted along the affected roads, and officials from the State Traffic Management Authority will be on hand to coordinate traffic movement to minimize any disruption to road users.

Oladeinde emphasized that the end result will benefit both the people and the state while praising the citizens for their patience, understanding, and support during the many ongoing road constructions around the state.
