Manchester United are insistent on getting an interim coach despite disappointment from top choices so far.

The Red Devils who sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday are currently linked to Mauricio Pochettino.

The sack came less than 24 hours after their 4-1 thrashing by Watford. It is, however, likely that they will go for the Argentine at the end of the season.

Reports say the 49-year-old is interested in a move to Old Trafford but is still committed to Paris Saint-Germain and is focused on helping PSG achieve Ligue 1 and Champions League victory.

This has made the former Tottenham boss their top choice ahead of Zinedine Zidane whom they made a second bid for recently and might emerge as a permanent manager at Old Trafford.

United have admired the Argentine for a number of years, ever since his time at Southampton.

Express Sport says that while links to Pochettino have been intensified, the Red Devils are still on a search for an interim.
