Lagos records 62 COVID-19 deaths in two days

On Sunday, Lagos reported 30 COVID-19 deaths, a day after reporting a backlog of 32 deaths going back to September 11.

The NCDC however did not say if the increased figure represented a backlog in its most recent report.

Three states, Kano, Osun, and Bauchi, each reported one COVID-19 death, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria to 2837 with the death toll in Lagos has now reached 726.

The number of confirmed cases also has risen to 209,298 with 125 additional cases reported in 10 states.

FCT also has had the newest cases with 45, followed by Kaduna with 34, Rivers with 11 and Lagos with 10.

Plateau reported one case, while Igawa, Edo, and Kano each reported two.

According to the NCDC, the 45 cases reported in the FCT were for October 16 and 17,197,143 cases have also been released

The Public Health Agency also stated that the number of current cases is 9,319, with 3,142,971 tests completed.
