COVID-19: Nigeria records 352 cases, no deaths on Friday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday reported 352 new COVID-19 cases across eight states and the Federal Capital Territory.

No COVID-19 related death was recorded by the agency.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Saturday.

According to the data by the agency, Rivers recorded the highest figures for new infections for the day with 119 cases.

Lagos reported 106 cases of the virus, followed by Gombe – 50, FCT – 36, Delta – 16, Kaduna – 14, Oyo – 5, Taraba – 5, Kano – 1.

The reported 352 new COVID-19 infections have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 250,361, while 223,495 people have recovered and have been discharged.

With no COVID-19 related death recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus stands at 3,092.

The agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
