BREAKING: Juju music legend, Dayo Kujore is dead

Veteran Nigerian Juju music maestro, Dayo Kujore, is dead.

According to sources, the Soko Extra Crooner died early on Monday, January 10, 2022, and was confirmed dead at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja, Lagos.

His demise was confirmed by his daughter, Ayinke Kujore.

Dayo Kujore was one of the most famous juju musicians in Nigeria during his prime.

He was born in Robiyan area of Ogun State on April 4, 1958, and would have turned 64 on April 4, 2022.

He began playing the guitar at 10 and rose to become popular for creating a new tune from the Juju genre called Soko music.

Some of his released albums include Elevation, Wisdom, Joy, Easy Life, and the popular Soko Xtra.
