2023: Afenifere visits Tinubu as presidential ambition gathers momentum

LEADERS of Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, today, paid a visit to a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at his home in Lagos.

They include Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Chief Supo Sonibare, Oba Olaitan Oladipo, and retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Tunji Alapini.

This is coming days after Tinubu returned from a medical trip to the United Kingdom where he underwent knee surgery.

Although, the motive for the visit wasn’t made public, it may not unconnected to the next presidential elections.

Tinubu is yet to publicly declare his interest to run for President in 2023, but there have been strong campaign for his candidacy.

Following the official launch of a campaign group, South-West Agenda for Asiwaju, SWAGA ’23, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC chieftains in the region have thrown their weight behind Tinubu.
