Alonso addressed Garnacho’s future while discussing Chelsea’s squad plans ahead of the new season, stating that negotiations are ongoing and expressing hope that the situation reaches a positive conclusion for all parties.
“There is interest in him from other clubs. Hopefully it finishes in the best possible way for everyone,” Alonso said.
The Garnacho Chelsea exit comes after the 22-year-old forward became the subject of transfer speculation, with clubs monitoring his availability during the summer window.
Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United and has attracted attention because of his pace, attacking ability and experience at the highest level.
His potential departure would mark another significant move in Chelsea’s continued squad reshaping under Alonso.
Meanwhile, Alonso also provided an update on striker Nicolas Jackson, confirming that the Senegal international will join Chelsea’s pre-season tour in Asia.
“Nico Jackson is joining the tour in Asia and we are looking forward to him working with us,” Alonso said.
Jackson’s return will provide Chelsea with another attacking option as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.
The developments highlight Chelsea’s busy summer transfer period, with the club balancing potential departures alongside preparations to strengthen and organise Alonso’s squad.
