President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is already in Lagos, is expected to commission several landmark projects over the two-day period.

In a statement on Tuesday, Commissioner for Transportation Oluwaseun Osiyemi said partial road closures will be implemented in selected corridors to ensure safety and smooth movement during the events.

He explained that on Wednesday, April 8, the commissioning of the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., affecting traffic around Opebi-Allen, Ikeja and Ojota.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid congestion during the period.

On Thursday, April 9, additional commissioning events are scheduled, beginning with the Tolu Schools Complex in Olodi Apapa and Ajegunle between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., which will also affect traffic flow in the area.

Later in the day, another event is expected to hold between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. around Eko Hotel and Victoria Island, where heavy traffic is anticipated.

The commissioner urged residents and motorists to plan their journeys ahead and allow extra travel time.
