Also, the album accumulated over 1.02 billion on-demand streams in the USA alone, exceeding expectations in the streaming service.
Wizkid released the ‘Made In Lagos’ album in October 2020 featuring the likes of Burna Boy, Damian Marley, and H.E.R., and further elevated its global audience appeal.
‘Made In Lagos’ was considered a success because WizKid featured another Nigerian act ‘Tems’ on the song ‘Essence,’ who has risen into global stardom since the feature.
Since the album’s release, songs from the album have gained worldwide success, hitting the top of global charts, record sales, a summer playlist of prominent figures and recognition in international awards.
