Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun also known as WizKid has broken yet another record with his ‘Made In Lagos,’ album which has just become the US Best-Selling African Album, after it reached an impressive 680,000 sales milestone.

Also, the album accumulated over 1.02 billion on-demand streams in the USA alone, exceeding expectations in the streaming service.

Wizkid released the ‘Made In Lagos’ album in October 2020 featuring the likes of Burna Boy, Damian Marley, and H.E.R., and further elevated its global audience appeal.

‘Made In Lagos’ was considered a success because WizKid featured another Nigerian act ‘Tems’ on the song ‘Essence,’ who has risen into global stardom since the feature.

Since the album’s release, songs from the album have gained worldwide success, hitting the top of global charts, record sales, a summer playlist of prominent figures and recognition in international awards.

The growing influence of the international icon has spread across the globe since Wizkid rose
to stardom in the early 2010s with his hit single ‘Holla at Your Boy’.

The Afrobeats star has continued to deliver chart-topping hits, individually and collaborating with renowned artists such as Drake, Beyoncé, Skepta, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown among others.
