Reports say West Ham have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United for the transfer of Harry Maguire.
Last season, the 30-year-old was replaced in the centre-back position with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martínez, and he was stripped of the captain band by manager Erik ten Hag and given to Bruno Fernandez, he was also made available in the transfer window.
The Hammers have shown interest in the England international throughout the summer and now both clubs have agreed on a £30 million fee for the defender.
According to the Athletic, the verbal agreement between the two clubs is still subject to final, key points on deal structure, while West Ham are confident they can agree to personal terms with Maguire and his camp.
Since moving to Old Trafford from Leicester City in 2019 for a record fee of £80 million, making him the most expensive defender in history, Maguire has failed to live up to that price tag.
