‘Tinubu will return to Nigeria on Monday’ – Bayo Onanuga

President-elect, Bola Tinubu is expected back in the country today, Monday.

Tinubu’s return to Nigeria was confirmed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday.

Onanuga disclosed that the President-elect has been on vacation in France.

Tweeting, Onanuga wrote: “Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after weeks of a well-deserved vacation in France. E kaabo! Se dada le de!”

Tinubu’s absence from Nigeria’s political scene has been a subject of controversy.

Reports had it that on March 22 that Tinubu was secretly ferried abroad for medical treatment.

The reports alleged that Tinubu took ill after months of uninterrupted political campaigns across the nation.

But, Tinubu’s media team dismissed the narrative, stressing that he traveled to Paris for rest after a hectic campaign season.

Also, the Secretary of the disbanded All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, has confirmed Tinubu’s expected to return today, Monday.

Faleke said Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria at 2 pm on Monday, after a one-month vacation in France.
