In a recent development, President Bola Tinubu has made a strategic appointment at the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), naming Ibrahim Khalil Gaga as the Executive Director of Corporate Services.

This key appointment was announced through a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Wednesday.

Gaga, who has a background in law, brings over two decades of rich experience in the banking and legal sectors. Before this appointment, he served as the Board Secretary and Legal Adviser at NEXIM Bank, showcasing his deep understanding of the institution’s operations.

Ngelale quoted, “The President expects that Mr. Gaga will bring to his new role renewed zeal and diligence to enhance NEXIM’s mandate of providing finance, risk mitigation services, accurate trade and market information, as well as export advisory services to Nigerians in full support of the economic development agenda of his administration.”

This appointment is considered a significant move in bolstering the bank’s commitment to driving economic growth and supporting Nigerian businesses in the international export market.
