Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale known professionally as Joeboy has taken a philanthropic initiative by introducing free bus services in Lagos to assist residents with their transportation needs.

Joeboy shared the news in a tweet, stating that this is his way of helping people during these challenging times.

The initiative is named after his sophomore project, ‘Body & Soul’, which was recently released in May.

The free bus services will be available for three days, operating from 8 am to 5 pm.

Joeboy announced that the buses will be running along specific routes, providing transportation assistance to those in need.

“I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping.

“For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm,” he tweeted.

Prior to launching this initiative, Joeboy had expressed empathy for individuals who were struggling to afford the high cost of fuel.

In a previous tweet, he highlighted the unfortunate reality of people having to spend their entire salaries on fuel and expressed his desire to find a way to assist them.

“It’s crazy that people are spending their entire salary just to buy fuel. I wish there was a way to help a bit,” he tweeted.
