The Lagos State deputy governor Mr Obafemi Hamzat on Tuesday hosted former Nigerian goalkeeper, Peter Rufai for strategic partnership in the sports sector.
Peter was accompanied by Lekan Fatodu, Director-General of Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), for the visit at the deputy governor’s office in Alausa on Tuesday.
Hamzat thanked Rufai for his efforts and assured him of the Commission’s readiness to always work effectively with proven hands and professionals.
HE also said the pertnership will foster Governor Sanwo-Olu’s robust investment in sports and foster the development of more talents within the state.
In his remarks, Rufai expressed gratitude to Lagos State for being a cornerstone in his sports career, noting that he is always ready to render his support to sports development in the State.
He listed several commendable sports initiatives he has spearheaded in Lagos and promised commitment to unveil more impactful programmes that will nurture talent and foster growth within the Lagos sporting community.
