The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that six lanes will be added to the $1.5 billion Lekki Deep Seaport access road.
Sanwo-Olu made this statement while speaking at the construction completion ceremony of the Lekki Deep Seaport.
He advised host communities to make sure that there were no obstructions on the access road while also announcing that the state government will be removing shanties along the pot access.

“I also want the citizens to know that we are turning this place into a six-lane highway and so there are shanties along the road let’s push them away and clear the road.”
Sanwo-Olu added that already construction work on the access road had started.
He said: “You have seen that the construction of the road from Elakan Junction has continued towards Ajah and you can also see that the construction from Elakan Junction towards here is also ongoing. I want to reassure you that we will stop at nothing to push this road to completion.
