Seven people were rescued from a collapsed two-story building at 12 Cameroun Street, off Ewenla in the Mushin area of Lagos State today.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), stated that upon the arrival of the LASEMA Response Team (LRT) at the site, it was revealed that the building was newly constructed.
The seven rescued individuals, consisting of three females and four males, were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
LASEMA confirmed that its rescue team thoroughly searched the debris and found no additional victims trapped under the collapsed structure. The agency also stated that the vicinity has been sealed off, with operations still in progress.
