In a bid to keep the citizens of Lagos State informed and involved in the governance process, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to host a Media Chat this Thursday at 11:15am, aiming to address the pressing concerns and queries of Lagosians during these challenging times.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.

According to him, the focus of the discussion will revolve around the various initiatives and plans the Lagos State Government has in store for its citizens, particularly in key areas such as food security, environmental sustainability, health services, physical planning, and infrastructural development. These sectors are crucial for the progress towards a Greater Lagos, a vision that the current administration is committed to realizing.

This interactive session will feature frontline journalists from notable media houses including Channels TV, Arise, TVC, and LTV, who will be posing questions to Mr. Sanwo-Olu. The governor is expected to provide insights into the government’s strategies and actions in ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of all Lagosians, especially during these tough economic times.

Furthermore, the media chat will be broadcasted live on several radio stations, including Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 FM and Eko FM 89.7, ensuring that a wider audience can tune in and stay updated with the latest governmental plans and policies.

In anticipation of the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his commitment to the welfare of the citizens, stating, “We will let our people know what we have done and what we will be doing about their welfare, their lives, and livelihoods. We will not leave them to their own devices.” This statement underscores the government’s dedication to transparent and regular engagement with the public.

This upcoming Media Chat is part of a series of planned interactions with the citizens of Lagos. Previously, Mr. Governor held a Lagos West Town Hall Meeting on January 25, which was part of this ongoing initiative to foster open communication and collaboration between the government and its people.

The residents of Lagos State are encouraged to tune into this important discussion, as it is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the government’s plans and to have their concerns addressed directly by the Governor. This event is a step towards a more inclusive and responsive governance in Lagos State.
