The Permanent Secretary/Tutor-General of the Lagos State Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye, has urged schools benefitting from the multi-million naira donation of furniture and office equipment by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to use and protect them judiciously.
Adekanye gave this advice during the recent presentation of the donated furniture and office equipment to Junior High Schools under Education District II at the District’s Headquarters in Maryland, Lagos.
She stated that the items were donated to new schools located in the Ikorodu area in line with the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration and his commitment to improving the education sector.
“We are distributing office equipment and furniture such as photocopiers, desktop computers, air conditioners, fans, chairs, generators, television sets, and office cabinets, among others, to our new schools in Ikorodu and the offices of the Principals and Vice-Principals,” said Adekanye.
The Permanent Secretary appealed to all beneficiaries, including the communities, principals, vice-principals, teachers, and students, to make good use of the donated items so that more support could be extended to schools under Education District II by the state government.
Some of the beneficiary schools of the donated furniture and equipment include Ibelefun Junior Grammar School, Musade-Odugate Junior School Ori-Okuta, and Egbon Kingdom Junior High School, among others.
