Sanwo-Olu commissions new school at Elemoro, 744-apartment housing scheme

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday, commissioned a newly-constructed Elemoro Community Junior Secondary School at Sangotedo with sporting facilities, and the LagosHOMS Sangotedo Phase 1 of 744 homes in 62 blocks.

In unveiling the school, Sanwo-Olu said over two and half years ago, his administration expressed the commitment to the education sector and desire to ensure that every child in Lagos has unrestricted access to qualitative education.

Sanwo-Olu, who commended His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Elemoro, for making the construction of the school possible, through provision of 1.54 hectares of land for the school.

He also appreciated the students, parents, and members of the Elemoro community for the patience and perseverance they displayed in keeping faith with the promise made by his administration to construct a community school, the first of its kind in the community.

The Governor said plans were underway to reduce cost of property development and enhance quality in housing development through the building of competence for local artisans and craftsmen.
