Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has called on the Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA) to develop innovative solutions, share best practices, and shape a digital landscape that fosters trust, security and prosperity.

He made the call in his address at the Y2023 ISACA Lagos Chapter Annual Government, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Conference held on Friday at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki.

Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, Hon. He said: “This journey has led us to harness the power of technology through embracing digital cloud services for our daily operations, the establishment of our very own world-class data centre, and collaborations with digital economy experts as we have in the ongoing ‘The Art of Technology Lagos’ to create a suitable and inclusive digital ecosystem”.

Sanwo-Olu added that ISACA, with its rich history and expertise, is well-positioned to support Lagos State in promoting digital trust through its thought leadership, knowledge-sharing, and industry standard.

“ISACA can guide us in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital masterplan that fosters trust, security, and innovation. By aligning our efforts with the THEMES Plus Agenda of State Government; we can ensure that our digital transformations are not only technologically advanced but also built on a foundation of trust and reliability,” he said.

Emphasising the importance of collaboration, the Governor stated that the collaboration between the government and organisations like ISACA is essential and stands as a beacon for creating a digital world that is not only safe and secure but also accessible to all.

“The government can benefit immensely from the knowledge and industry standards set by ISACA, aligning our efforts to create a resilient and inclusive digital ecosystem. Together, we continue to enhance digital trust, strengthen IT GRC, and build a resilient and prosperous Lagos State. Our collective will endeavours pave the way for a brighter and more suitable future for Lagos State”, Sanwo-Olu stated.
