Former Italy head coach, Arigo Sacchi has faulted Victor Osimhen for his below par performance in Napoli’s 3-1 defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The Serie A champions were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League following a 4-2 on aggregate defeat to the Blagrauna in the round of 16.
The Nigeria international scored Napoli’s solitary goal in the first leg but was out played by youngster Pau Cubarsi in the reverse fixture.
Osimhen had only one shot on target through out the game.
“What surprised me the most was the little involvement of Kvara and Osimhen, the two most awaited players,” Sacchi wrote in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It’s true that they didn’t get much service, but at the same time, they didn’t move much and they did it in the wrong way, so it was easy for opponents to stop them.”
