Public Image chairpersons and Rotarians in Rotary International District 9111 have been encouraged to tell compelling stories about the organization’s humanitarian projects.

This call was made during the Irresistible Virtual Learning Session (IVLS 2.0) held in Lagos on Saturday.

Rotarian John Odiboh, Secretary of the District’s Public Image Committee, presented on “Telling Compelling Stories That Drive Membership Attraction.”

He highlighted the importance of adopting a human angle in storytelling, noting that Rotarians should evoke emotions such as empathy and joy when reporting on projects.

This approach helps to create stronger connections between clubs and the communities they serve.

Odiboh also emphasized that Rotarians should use narratives and descriptive language to bring their stories to life, thereby making their impact more tangible and inspiring to the public.

He stressed that all Rotarians are spokespersons for the organization’s global brand and should communicate universal themes like hope.

The session also featured Past District Governor (PDG) Yvonne Kumoji-Darko, who spoke about “Mastering the Four-step Process of Fundraising.”

Other Rotary leaders in attendance included Pioneer RI District 9111 Governor Wole Kukoyi, PDG Omotunde Lawson, and District Governor Elect Henry Akinyele.
