Paris Saint-Germain are set to give up on seeking a way out for Kylian Mbappé’s future, per RMC Sport.
The French news outlet reports that PSG will open talks for a new contract that will last until 2025, with the provision of a one-year extension with Mbappe.
PSG are reportedly willing to play all the cards, including financial incentives and facilitating a departure next summer in writing.
The Qatari owners of the Parisian club are seeking to avoid a case of Mbappe leaving for free at the end of the next season.
About a week ago, PSG CEO gave Mbappé an ultimatum of either renewing his contract or leave this summer, however, this might just be on paper as the 24-year-old holds all the cards. This is based on the mouth-watering deal he signed with PSG last summer which gave him a bit of controlling power in the club.
While all these unfold, Real Madrid who were heartbroken last season after Mbappe ignored them for the new contract with PSG wait patiently.
