The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of Anosikwa Patrick, who was allegedly stabbed by a police officer at the Skymall shopping mall in the Ajah area of the state on Saturday.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the police command, confirmed the incident, stating that both the mall’s manager and chief security officer are currently in custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Hundeyin assured that justice will be served in the case. He revealed that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adegoke Fayoade, has directed detectives from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to conduct a speedy and diligent investigation to ensure the culprit is brought to justice.
“The police officer involved has been identified as Inspr Taofeek, a member of the visiting 12 PMF squadron to Lagos. The members of the public will be kept informed about the progress of the investigation,” Hundeyin said.
