A 24-year-old man has been arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command for possessing three locally made pistols.
The arrest was confirmed by the Lagos Police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin via his official X handle on Tuesday.
According to Hundeyin, the officers from the Ketu Division made the arrest on Monday while conducting a routine stop and search patrol at Y Junction, Ketu, on November 27.
Hundeyin disclosed that the suspect was discovered with three single-barrel pistols carefully wrapped in a brown cloth.
“The investigation is currently underway,” Hundeyin stated, emphasizing that once concluded, the suspect would face legal charges in court.
