The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a lady, Esther Paul, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Sadiq Dahiru, to death at Amusa Street, Agungi, in the Lekki area of the state.
It was gathered that Dahiru’s stepfather, Kazeem Obafunso reported the incident at the Ilasan Police Station after being briefed that Dahiru’s girlfriend had stabbed him.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed the incident, policemen detailed to investigate the case rushed Dahiru to Evercare Hospital where a doctor on duty confirmed him dead.
Hundeyin said Paul had been arrested while adding that Dahiru’s corpse had been deposited in the IDH mortuary in the Yaba area of the state for autopsy.
He added, “Preliminary investigation is ongoing; the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.” Meanwhile, Hudenyin, in a statement on Sunday, confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old serial kidnapper, Joy Kolapo, for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old boy, identified simply as Bright, in the Ejigbo area of the state.
Hundeyin said, “Following painstaking investigation and intelligence gathering into the abduction of a three-year-old boy, Bright, on October 27, 2022, in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State, detectives of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lagos State Command, have arrested one serial kidnapper, Joy Kolapo.
“The suspect was arrested in the Omi Adio area of Oyo State on November 12, 2022 with another victim, one Moses, 7, whom she had kidnapped in the Olopo Meta area of Oyo state.
“Investigation led to the rescue of Bright in Akute area of Ogun State the same day the suspect was arrested.”
