Police arrest 15 for ‘looting’ warehouse in Abuja, recover items

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police in Abuja have detained 15 individuals for their alleged involvement in the raid of a warehouse.

This incident, previously reported by LagosPost, saw miscreants forcefully enter the Agric Department Strategic food store in Tasha, Abuja, on Sunday, where they took various food items and valuables.

In a formal communication, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrests and the recovery of stolen goods. The police successfully recaptured items including twenty-six bags of maize, five motorcycles, and some damaged aluminum roofing from the apprehended suspects.

SP Adeh’s statement reassured the public, noting that normalcy has been reestablished in the affected area and the situation is firmly under control. Notably, the arrests included two local security guards who were on duty for the warehouse management at the time of the incident. This police action underlines the authorities’ commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
