Confederation of African Football, CAF, has released the thirty-man nomination list for the 2023 Men’s of the Year award.
Favourite to win the continental award this year is Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Also in the run for the award are Mohamed Salah, Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane, Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech.
Osimhen Was fantastic for Napoli last season, helping them to win the Scudetto in 33 years with 26 goals.
In six UEFA Champions League games, the 24-year-old scored five goals for the Partenopei.
He is hoping to become the first Nigerian to win the award since Nwankwo Kanu claimed the prize in 1996.
Gent of Belgium forward Gift Orban is also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award.
