The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Thursday revealed one life has been claimed in an accident involving a truck colliding with a tanker along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to LASEMA, when its officers arrived at the incident scene, a truck with registration no. LSR-69YE and a tanker fully laden with PMS[30000 litres] with registration no. GWN-597XA were involved in a road accident.
Further investigation conducted by the LRT revealed that the truck driver lost control and ran into the tanker from behind whilst in motion.
“Unfortunately, the truck driver lost his life to the incident. The agency’s LRT, FRSC and Nigeria police are on ground to ensure safety measures as the trapped victim has been extricated with the aid of the Agency’s light tow-truck and has also been body bagged by the LRT.
“The Agency’s LRT has handed over the Body to Nigeria police on the scene.”
