The NLC President indicated that no agreement had been reached on any of the issues discussed during the meeting, including NURTW, CNG, refineries, pay awards, cash transfer, and ASUU concerns.
On Monday, the meeting between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) ended without any resolution, raising uncertainty over a potential strike.
The Minister of Labour and Employment called the meeting, however, according to the labour union none of the issues raised by the Union were addressed.
Despite this, Simon Lalong, minister of labour expressed confidence that Nigerian workers’ issues will be resolved before the deadline.
The NLC, however, made it known that it remains committed to its planned indefinite strike if no progress is made before the expiration of its ultimatum.
