NGO to give out N1m grant to entrepreneurs at Alimosho Business Summit

Okun Alimoso, a non-profit organisation situated in the Alimosho area of Lagos, has disclosed that the second edition of its forthcoming business summit will be giving out grants worth up to N1 million to entrepreneurs with the best business proposal.

The Convener of non-profit organisation which is under the aegis of the AfroVanguard,Babatunde Oluwaseyi Adeola, made this known on Friday during a press conference, urging interested business owners and entrepreneurs to submit their proposals and attend the summit as it will assist them to thrive and also expand.

Adeola went on to reveal that the organization would also be organizing the Alimoso Carol Concert to celebrate the year, and to unite all the voices in the community, help promote talents and the culture of the Alimosho community.

He buttressed that Alimoso Carol Concert which started in 2017 as an idea to unite choristers and music groups within the Alimoso community, will be launched for the second time this year after a long break, with awards in different categories ranging from the Choir of the Year, Best Dressed Choir, and more.

The CEO of AfroVanguard, in his statement, mentioned that corporate organizations will be at the event to also support unemployed persons with CV and Cover Letter reviews in order to increase their chances of securing job interviews.

He further explained that there are two tickets available for the business summit, the elite and the regular ticket.

“The elite ticket cost N5000 and one of the benefits of getting the elite ticket ticket is that you get to submit your business plan and also a one-on-one mentoring session with the business moguls that we will bring in to train and speak to all business owners.

“The regular tickets grant you access to attend the event and listen to lectures from top successful business owners around the country,” he said.

The Deputy Director of Mediapro, Femi Shoyemi, also stated that his company will be available to offer free courses and training on video editing, cinematography, photography, and graphics design.

The Summit will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Lagos Igando Theatre, by 8am, while the Carol Concert will kick off on the same day by 3pm at the same venue.
