The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the suspension of centre referee Mohammed Gata from further officiating in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
This was confirmed by the Chairman, Referee Committee Mohammed Ameenu in a memo sent to the official.
The suspension takes immediate effect.
During the matchday 24 clash between Katsina United and Heartland, Referee Gata was found wanting.
Both teams battled to a 1-1 draw at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium last weekend.
The NFF also suspends two more match officials following fallouts from the matchday 24 fixtures.
