NANS appreciates Sanwo-Olu for appointing ex-Coordinator SSA

The National Association of Nigerian Students, (NANS) has congratulated former NANS Southwest Coordinator, Comrade Kappo Olawale Samuel on his appointment as a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tertiary Education.

This is just as the body also appreciated Governor Sanwo-Olu for the appointment. This is contained in a statement by the Clerk of Senate, NANS, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman.

“The NANS Senate Clerk and the entire Senate Secretariat heartily congratulates Comrade Kappo Olawale Samuel on his appointment as the Senior Special Assistant on Tertiary Education to Lagos State Governor.

“Comrade Kappo Samuel Olawale’s rich experience in students’ activism and his contributions to the development of education over the years have earned him this well-deserved appointment.

“We recognize his tireless efforts towards promoting quality education and creating an enabling environment for students in Nigeria.

“As we celebrate this laudable achievement, we want to emphasize that the Senate secretariat remains committed to working towards the development of education in Lagos State and the nation at large.

“The appointment of Comrade Kappo Samuel Olawale is an example of the critical role students leaders have played in promoting national development. It is a proof of the recognition and appreciation of the positive impact students make in society.

“In light of this, the NANS Senate Clerk calls on all students and stakeholders to give their unwavering support to Comrade Kappo as he takes up this new position of service in the state.

“We also want to use this opportunity to reiterate our readiness to work with the Lagos State Government to achieve great exploits in the education sector.

“The students’ movement understands the need for a quality education system that will produce well-equipped graduates who can compete globally.

“Therefore, we urge the Lagos State Government to involve students’ representatives in policy-making decisions that affect the education sector. We believe that this will ensure transparency in governance and accountability to all stakeholders in the educational system.

“We appreciate the Governor’s vision and belief in empowering students leaders in order to play an active role in transforming the educational system. With this appointment, we are confident that positive changes will be made to benefit all students in Lagos State.
