Former Nigerian lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has reacted the statement by the minister for sports and youth development that N21 billion is needed for the renovation of the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
According to the Social critic, the proposed amount is not justified on any ground.
Sani who shared his opinion via his verified Twitter handle on Monday said, although he understands that the stadium’s floodlight had collapsed due to the effect of the rain, it still does not justify the proposed amount.
He wrote, “I understand that the National Stadium Surulere floodlight collapsed as a result of the ’Rain’.
“But please that proposal of using N21 billion to renovate that Stadium should not be justified because of this.”
