Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has signed a contract with Real Madrid and will become their highest earner, per Marca.
Recall that Mbappé informed the Parisian club that he would not be signing a one-year extension.
This made the 25-year-old a free agent at the end of this season.
Reports say Mbappé has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Madrid until 2029 which PSG had stated but had no evidence to prove after the French refuse to activate his one-year extension last summer.
While Mbappé has accepted a lower salary compared to what he is currently earning with PSG, he will still be the highest earner at the Los Blancos as his salary will be around a third of his current £62 million-a-year gross salary.
Real President Florentino Pérez believes the arrival of the forward could not break up the wage structure in the squad.
The La Liga giant will also pay the player a signing-on fee below £40 million.
Also, Madrid have compromised on image rights, with Mbappé in exchange to earn around 60 per cent of them, which should offset his reduced salary and signing-on fee.
