Mbappé disassociates self from PSG’s ticket sales ad campaign

Kylian Mbappé has disassociated himself from Paris Saint Germain’s marketing campaign used for attracting season-ticket sales for next season.

The club had released a campaign which featured Mbappé heavily for next year’s season ticket-holders, asking fans to renew their tickets for the 2023-24 season.

After the release of the ad campaign, Mbappé released a statement via his Instagram to complain about the use of his video and images of him for the campaign.

The France striker said; “I have just seen the club’s resubscription campaign for the 2023-2024 season. At no time was I informed of the content of it with my representative. It seemed like when I did a basic interview at a club marketing day.

“I disagree with this posted video. That’s why I fight for individual image rights. PSG is a great club and a great family, but it’s definitely not Kylian Saint-Germain,” remarked the prodigious striker.

The campaign had only the France captain speak in the promotional film. Messi who was reported will be out of the club in the summer was absent in the promotional video.

There are many reasons the 24-year-old could have made this comment as he had requested in his last contract that he would have total control over his image rights.

PSG is yet to comment on Mbappe’s remarks.
