The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Prince Ifalade Oyekan, has emphasized the importance of seamless intelligence sharing as a cure for addressing the country’s present security issues.
Prince Oyekan spoke at the event organised by the Office of the Secretary to the Lagos State Government for participants of Senior Course 44 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Kaduna State, who are on a study tour of Lagos State.
While speaking, he applauded the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for providing security enforcement organizations in the state with working tools and a pleasant working atmosphere.
The LSNA boss went further to say that information collecting is critical to any community’s security, emphasizing that the agency recently delivered a 250-page intelligence report on abandoned structures in the state for the immediate action of the government.
According to him, it is past time for Lagos to take over abandoned buildings because intelligence reports suggest that such structures house criminals, posing a severe threat to people and the state’s socio-economic growth.
