Following heavy rainfall in Lagos on Wednesday, a viral video on X revealed a group of miscreants in the Ojo area exploiting pedestrians seeking to use the walkway under the bridge. The video shows the miscreants demanding N100 from each person.

An X user, identified as ARISE0214, shared the video with the caption: “This is what the construction company has caused along Lagos-Badagry Expressway. While the construction is going on, they should provide a temporary access route for the citizens where there are no pedestrian bridges to avoid all this.”

However, while reacting to the tweet, Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources of Lagos, mentioned that operatives of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps had apprehended the miscreants, and that they will be prosecuted according to the law.
