The Lagos State Parastatals Monitoring Office has organised a two-day training programme for senior officers on Grade Levels 8-13 with the theme: “Strategies to Improve Performance”.

The Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aina Ayoola, while declaring open the workshop held at the Office Conference Room, advised the participants to be passionate about self-development, stressing that the training is designed to enhance their knowledge and boost productivity in the delivery of their statutory responsibility.

Ayoola urged participants to imbibe new knowledge that they would be taught and ask questions where necessary, network with other participants and optimise the opportunity afforded them by the training programme.

He emphasised that the topics that would be treated during the training sessions are very relevant and important to the officers’ careers and are going to be handled by seasoned and experienced facilitators, as such it must not be taken for granted.

The Permanent Secretary assured participants that the State Government is committed to the capacity development of all its staff, noting that training and retraining of the workforce is one of the ways the Government demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the productivity of the Public Service.
