The Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina, has hosted delegates from the Plateau State Government, who are on a working visit to his office to familiarise themselves with the Geographic Information Systems deployed to enhance the performance of land-related agencies in Lagos.
While welcoming the team, the Surveyor-General of Lagos, Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina, represented by the Director of Cadastral Department, Surv. Olalekan Odupe, expressed appreciation to the team for visiting the State, pledging the Office’s support to provide information to enhance the team’s knowledge and aid their performance in Plateau State.
“Your team will be acquainted with our processes, procedures, and technology deployed in the daily activities of the Geographical Information Systems Unit and also be enlightened about our various departments, units and their responsibilities”, he said.
Adesina further stated that the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Unit has leveraged technology to provide top-notch services to stakeholders, including MDAs of the government and the public.
In his remark, the team lead and Commissioner for Land, Survey and Town Planning, Plateau State, Barr. Peter Nyam Gal said the tour was in continuation of a two-day peer review and familiarisation tour of some agencies of the State Government to acquire first-hand knowledge on the trends that have made Lagos excel.
Barr. Gal added that the team is in the State to learn the skills that make Lagos a pacesetter, noting that the knowledge acquired from the visit will aid their performance and improve service quality to the people of Plateau State when implemented.
An interactive session was later held comprising members of the delegation from Plateau State and top management staff of the Office of the Lagos State Surveyor General.
