Two companies located in Lekki have been sealed by the Lagos State government over noise pollution.
In a statement released on Monday night, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) Monday night said the measure was part of its continuous effort to tackle noise pollution and other environmental violations in Lagos State.
“The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken action by sealing off Olaiya Foods Catering Services and Bukka Hut of Lekki Phase 1 today (Monday),” the statement said.
LASEPA further stated that it took action due to the persistent disregard of both companies for environmental regulations and their contribution to noise pollution.
Meanwhile, LASEPA has directed anyone who has a complaint to make to kindly send the full information to their DM on X and then fill out a complaint form via the link in their bio.
This came after an X user, Prince Iyke Etinosa (@princeezechukwu) complained about a church programme happening on the street of Oloruntoyin in Bariga, Shomolu.
“The street has been on lockdown every evening for two weeks now. Once the church programme starts, no vehicle uses that part of the road and the people live with the nosie until it ends,” Etinosa said.
